TOUR OVERVIEW
A dramatic climb in the heart of the Rift Valley.
Take part in one of Tanzania's most extraordinary, off-the-beaten-path adventures. This three-day trip takes you deep into the remote Great Rift Valley, home to the mineral-rich waters of Lake Natron—East Africa's most important breeding area for Lesser Flamingos.
The highlight of this journey is a midnight climb up Ol Doinyo Lengai, known as the "Mountain of God" by the Maasai. As the world's only active carbonatite volcano, climbing its slopes offers a uniquely challenging and rewarding hiking experience, ending with wonderful sunrise views. Paired with a refreshing hike to the Ngare Sero Waterfalls and a deeply authentic Maasai cultural experience, this trip is designed for adventurous, nature-loving travelers.
