Escape the crowds and discover one of Northern Tanzania’s beautiful hidden treasures. Located in the peaceful Rundugai Village, just 40 kilometers from Moshi, the Chemka Hot Springs (also known as Kikuletwa) offer a perfect day of relaxation in nature.
Despite the name, the crystal-clear water is pleasantly warm and inviting. Surrounded by beautiful palm trees, the spring reaches depths of 6 to 10 meters, making it an excellent spot for swimming, floating, and diving. You can enjoy a natural fish massage, swing into the water from a rope, or simply relax and listen to the birds.
Your adventure begins at 8:00 AM with a comfortable pick-up from your hotel in Moshi. We will enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive through the beautiful Tanzanian countryside, giving you a chance to see local villages and landscapes along the way.
Once we arrive, you have plenty of time to enjoy the warm, clear water. You can swim, try the rope swing, or relax and let the small fish gently clean your feet for a natural massage. It is a wonderful time to rest and take beautiful photos of the palm trees and birds.
After your refreshing swim, we will head to a local restaurant nearby. Here, you will enjoy a delicious hot lunch. You can take one last swim if you like, before we pack up and drive you safely back to your hotel in Moshi.
